Latino Solo in Wrocław — dance without a partner

Latino solo is dance to Latin rhythms in which you dance alone — no partner, and no coordinating diaries with anyone. At PALMA Studio at ul. Armii Krajowej 14C in Wrocław's Krzyki district we teach it in small women's groups: from the basic step and hip work, through technique, to short routines danced to music. New to Polish? No problem — trainers teach in English, Ukrainian and Russian as well.

Who latino solo classes are for

  • Women who want to dance but do not have a partner — and do not want to look for one. The whole choreography is built for one person.
  • Beginners who have never danced. We work in small groups, so the trainer sees every person and matches the pace to the room.
  • Those tired of repetitive workouts who want movement to be a pleasure, not a duty.
  • Women looking for a class that moves body and mind at once — rhythm, coordination and a break from the everyday.
  • Anyone returning to movement after a longer pause — we match the pace to the group, not the other way round.

What a class looks like

We start with a warm-up to music — waking up the hips, spine and ankles so the body is ready for a faster tempo. It is also the easiest moment to catch the pulse of the Latin rhythms, before the steps come in.

Then comes technique: basic steps, hip work, body alignment, arm work. We break each movement down into its parts and repeat it as many times as it takes — in a small group there is time for the trainer to come over and correct your form.

The third part is choreography: short sequences that we piece together and dance to music. You do not need to remember them after the first class — we come back to them at the next sessions until they settle into the body.

We finish with stretching and winding down. You leave sweaty but relaxed — without the feeling of having just survived a brutal workout.

What latino classes give you

  • Confidence — first in movement, then beyond the studio. It is the thing we hear most often after a few weeks.
  • Femininity and ease in your body: conscious work of the hips, spine and arms changes how you move day to day.
  • Work on your silhouette — latino engages the legs, glutes and deep muscles, and with regularity it shows in posture and muscle tone.
  • Fitness and stamina, built to the rhythm of music rather than on a machine.
  • Coordination, a sense of rhythm and movement memory — the brain works as hard as the body here.
  • A genuine reset after work: for an hour you focus on the steps, not the to-do list.
  • The atmosphere of a small women's group where nobody judges anybody.

What to bring to class

  • Comfortable sportswear you can move your hips in freely — leggings or joggers and a top or T-shirt.
  • A bottle of water.
  • Footwear: come to your first class in trainers; later we recommend dance shoes or heels.
  • A hair tie — genuinely useful in the faster sequences.
  • Nothing else. Mats and equipment are provided at the studio.
